A united, peaceful and respectful Rohingya community.

Australian Rohingya Women’s Development Organisation is one of the first Rohingya refugee women led organisations in the world. As a stateless population with limited rights and status in Australia and globally, there are many issues facing the Rohingya community as a whole. Women are the focus of this organisation because women are underrepresented in leadership and often confined to domestic and family duties. These duties are important to women but opportunities to do more should be available to them, particularly in a country like Australia.

The Australian Rohingya Women’s Development organisation strongly believes in inclusivity and equity in the Rohingya community which is a goal for the future and something we are working towards. But for now, women are our priority. This is a grassroots organisation, and we are in tune with the needs of our community. Our priorities at this time are focused on empowering and making opportunities for Rohingya women.
