The Australian Rohingya Women’s Development Organisation (ARDWO) is a not-for-profit charity whose purpose is to empower Rohingya women and children. ARWDO works for the Rohingya community and advocates for human rights, gender equality and independence. ARWDO is passionately community building and cultural preservation, celebration and representation.

The women of ARWDO are passionate about addressing systemic inequalities, poverty and discrimination. ARWDO is working for a united, peaceful and respectful Rohingya community in Australia and world-wide. ARWDO is a safe space for women and children.

Community Building

ARWDO facilitates several programs throughout the year designed to address social isolation and build community connection.

Networking and Partnerships

ARWDO is a refugee-led, grassroots organisation supporting Rohingya women, children and community. ARWDO works with a range of organisations and services to achieve the best outcomes for people in the community.

Annual Event

ARWDO hosts a women only event annual in the Canterbury Bankstown area. Occurring in the weeks after Ramadan, this event welcomes over 400 people each year and is a cornerstone event on the Rohingya community calendar.
